Open to Anyone
Come to one, come to all of them, and decide each time.
No Application, No Commitment
Eight months is a big commitment. Some women want to meet the people first. Some have a year that will not allow for fixed dates, and some simply prefer to arrive when they want to and leave when they want to. The Gatherings exist for all of them.
What They Are
Tuesday evenings, roughly monthly. Somebody hosts, everyone brings something, and we talk. Conversation is the entire agenda.
One book, chosen in early December, read over the break, discussed once in January. Reading half the book is just as legitimate for a perfectly good opinion.
With Tejaswini Apte-RahmBring whatever is actually on your bedside table. Ten minutes each; preparation optional.
With Isabelle KernGuided breath, meditation, voice, and sound with a certified music therapist. Every voice welcome, no good voice required.
With Corinna Siede, in WiesbadenA guided walk with a qualified Waldbademeisterin, with attention directed to one thing at a time.
With Anna SchmidtCook simple Indian dishes with an Ayurvedic chef, open the spice box, and talk about how digestion shifts in midlife. Come hungry.
With Tejaswini Apte-RahmGuided prompts, and the page stays yours. Spelling, grammar and any ambition to be a writer can all be left at the door.
When
January is given over to the Winter Book instead.
The other Gatherings have no fixed dates. We see who is interested, and fix a date once enough people have said yes.
Start times are confirmed ahead of each date. Dates and times may shift. Any change is confirmed well in advance.
How to Be Included
Most Gatherings are free. Some have a small fee, paid directly to the facilitator.
There is also the Circle: the same eight to ten women, every month, October to May. Several of the women at the Gatherings are in it, so the easiest way to find out what it is like is to ask one of them.
